For a brand born amidst the cultural influences of the East mixed with the cool of Portobello Road in the seventies, it may not come as a surprise that Daisy is the go-to jewellery brand for the young and achingly hip. At the heart of Daisy lies a spirit of adventure and travel, so many of the designs reflect nostalgia for gap-year trips and childhood rites of passage. The simple, elegant pieces are so easy to wear that they’ve become a staple for celebrities and fashion editors alike. The ‘Chakra’ necklace, a more grown-up version of the traditional friendship bracelet, has graced the pages of Vogue and Elle. Most recently Irish television presenter Laura Whitmore was snapped wearing a ‘Chakra’ necklace at V Festival (a true test of the versatility of a piece) and Cara Delevingne gave her own personal stamp of approval by buying matching necklaces for herself and friend, Rita Ora.

The good news is that you don’t need a Chelsea address or to be friends with Pixie or Alexa to snag one of these pieces; prices start at just £20 for a stackable Initial ring (spell your favourite word if you have the finger space!) and range to £185 for a more intricate necklace.

So what’s the jewellery actually like? The Eastern religious inspiration (which came from Marketing Director James Boyd’s love of eastern philosophies) is evident throughout the collection, especially the brand’s stand-out ‘Chakra’ collection; it centres around various Buddhist symbols cast in precious metals and linked by Japanese cord to adorn the wrists and neck of the wearer. The ‘Halo’ coin necklaces (a flat disc with symbols, letters or motifs in the centre, quickly becoming a favourite amongst celebrities) and the delicate, stackable rings standout as key pieces.

For a less literal approach, check out the ‘Sahara’ collection. Exquisite semi-precious stones provide the focal point and are at times juxtaposed with textured metallic discs. This is the most opulent collection from Daisy, with chandelier earrings dripping in gemstones, yet somehow it still manages to be understated and subdued.

If you’re looking for large gemstones, statement pieces or chunky metals, unfortunately you won’t find them here. The simple pieces are surprisingly neutral and perfect for layering; you can get away with wearing three or four necklaces at a time and the effect is still restrained and unobtrusive. Also, the designs remain traditional throughout the entire range, so the pieces will always be classic rather than trend led. .

Daisy has all the ingredients for a solid brand with longevity and the fashion world waits in anticipation for the next ‘It’ piece.

Here is a selection of Daisy jewellery for you to buy now.
