Shoes Off Exhibition On: Kitty Wong's Shoes she will never wear
Shoes are such a personal piece of any woman’s fashion wardrobe and for shoe lovers, every shoe has a tale to tell. Shoes can raise us to great heights, be cause for admiring comments from others or a source of great pain. For Canadian born, fashion illustrator Kitty N. Wong who we interviewed on Fashion Fox earlier this year, shoes are a source of inspiration particularly the shoes that she never wears and evoke an emotional pain as much as ball burn or pinching.
Turner Around Again: Turner Prize Nomination 2013
Scots fashion is having its moment in sun but its not just fashion that is putting Glasgow in the spotlight, Lorna Carvill of Perry Nelvill contemplates this year's Turner Prize nominations from the point of view of being an art loving Glaswegian. New York fashion writer Shammara Lawrence from Fashion Pop Queen headed down to the Fashion Textile Museum to check out the exhibition Fashion in Fiction which is juxtaposing their Belville Sasson that juxtaposes iconic fiction from the 50s through to the 80s from the classic literature including End of the Affair and the Go-Between to cult classics such as the creepy "Don't Look Now" and 80s pulp fiction "Lace" and Twin Peaks spin off "Laura Palmer's Diaries"

Before Kate Middleton started earning serious style points as the British Monarchy’s new leading lady, other members of the royal family were reflecting and inspiring fashion trends and styles. Fashion Rules, which opens to the public on today July4th at Kensington Palace, offers a fresh take on the style stories of Queen Elizabeth II, her often risqué sister Princess Margaret, and (possibly the most publically alluring of the three) the late Princess Diana. At a sneak preview we experienced the nostalgic glance back at some of the fashion evolutions of three royal ladies at an exhibit, which allows onlookers to get up-close to exceptional couture gowns.
