This year for the first time since its launch in 2000, Marc Jacobs was not backstage at the Marc for Marc Jacobs Autumn Winter 2014-2015 show in New York. Instead, he sat on the front row beside Sofia Coppola, leaving British design duo Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley, as creative director and design director respectively, to present their debut collection at the helm of the American brand. Models styled with hairbands and pigtails walked the plywood skate park runway accompanied by an adaption of Danny Elfman’s composition of the theme tune for the more recent ‘Alice in Wonderland’ film, whilst wearing looks inspired by a gutsy mixture of martial arts attire, tutus and school uniforms.
Fashion Scout AW14 Day 3
Day 3 of Fashion Scout and things were beginning to calm down, I actually made it to the front row after a very pleasant long chat with an assistant buyer from Selfridges, the rain had abated so queueing wasn't so horrendous leaving me fresh to enjoy and afternoon fashion show, I didn't have the early call that our Fashion Editor: Andree Latibeaudiere had to see Apu Jan.
Fashion Scout Day 2
Day 2 at Fashion Scout was beleaguered by rain and queuing. Each Year Fashion Scout seems to get busier and busier as it has become a mixture of designers who are set to make the leap to the next level and unknown designers who tempt the press and buyers with the promise that previous seasons have shown. Fashion Scout Shows are now overflowing into other venues including Sorapol who divided audiences between rave reviews and those with an aversion to glitter. Fashion Fox's team of writers Lisa McKendrick, Jas Kaur, Rakelle Maurici, Jodi Gray, Gemma Winter and Shammara Lawrence and backstage correspondents bring you the highlights of today's show.
Tata Naka AW14 London Fashion Week
So, on the last day of London Fashion Week, when we're just about ready to take a big nap, along comes Tata Naka with their Autumn Winter 2014 presentation. Bright colours, intense pattern contrast and seriously loud wallpaper backdrop the fashion equivalent of a double shot espresso. Photographs by Gemma Winter
