San Francisco Style
San Francisco is about as urban as the state of California gets. Therefore the style there is unlike what you see in LA, and closer in vibe to NYC. There is a trendy, hipster, city-chic quality that is tempered with a Californian laid-back glaze. I tend to believe that all cities have a personality and most personality is based both on nature and nurture. In headline photo Heidi sits on SF's Market Street wearing DVF silk harem pants , Stuart Weitzman knee-high boots, Dita sunglasses and keeps warm in a Givenchy Couture wool coat. The New Rodeo Drive
These days, Robertson Boulevard is the new Rodeo Drive. Actually, it’s an even hipper, more contemporary street than Rodeo ever was. Its epi-center could be called “The Ivy”, south of Beverly, where celebrities dine when they want to be seen. Paparazzi and valets vying to reach Gwen Stefani as she exits the restaurant can cause seismic waves. Photography by Erica Hampton.
Our guest blogger Heidi Nazarudin from LA takes us on a tour of Downtown LA's Fashion district.
With all the talk of a sprawling, centre-less Los Angeles, many forget that there is actually a downtown LA. Not only that, but within these confines lies a vibrant 100-block fashion district. Shopping here is as diverse as the population. One half a million people visit the neighbourhood every year, yet many of our locals aren’t clued into this secret. Head to the ATM (most places only accept cash) and then follow me.
